Charles "Chuck" Aramaki

Charles "Chuck" Aramaki (born September 24, 1945) is one of the last (if not the last) Japanese-American born in the the U.S. interment camps of World War 2 (citation source needed). His father was born in Japan and mother was born in the United States (more info needed)

He is married and has one child (Katie) with his wife J.C.

Chuck grew up in Seattle, Washington (More Information needed)

Drafted and fought in the Vietnam War (More Information needed)

After returning from Vietnam Chuck attended UCLA. He studied graphic design and worked in graphic design from (details needed)

Public Service Work

Chuck is a founding director of Can Do Coalition (https://candocoalition.org/). A 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to increasing the volunteer stem cell registries, used to fight blood related cancers and other ailments. Chuck still serves as director of the organization.

Contribution to Ultimate Frisbee

One of the earliest ultimate frisbee players (details needed). One of the big proponents of the Los Angeles Ultimate scene (circa 1980s-Present).

Ultimate Frisbee Throw named in his honor =>"The Aramaki." History/Background: After receiving much instruction from Chuck about how to throw a Forehand consistently, yet still having difficulty... Chuck's friend experimenting with different throws that could approximate for the lacking forehand came up with thumb in the cup of the disc and all four fingers on top, arm outstretched to right and wrist flick.
