Stephen Tropiano is an American film and television critic and historian. He received a B.S. in Television & Radio and a B.S. in Cinema & Photography from Ithaca College, his M.A. in Cinema Studies from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and his Ph. D. in Critical Studies from the University of Southern California. He has served as editor of the Journal of Film and VIdeo, the oldest existing cinema journal in the United States, since 2002.
