British Southdown Sheep In progress: this draft article is intended to supplement existing wikipedia content on the Southdown Sheep breed. There continues to be debate among Southdown Sheep breeders in the UK concerning appropriate size and conformation of the breed. Many UK registered breeders have introduced French or New Zealand bloodlines which have resulted in larger animals than the original breed type. (check reference).
