Megan Olivi[edit]

Megan Olivi hosts “The Ultimate Insider” on Fox Sports 1 and is a Mixed Martial Arts news/events reporter.

Early Life:[edit]

Megan Olivi is the youngest of three children and was born in New Jersey. Megan spent the majority of her youth growing up in Pennsylvania, where she excelled at both academics and athletics.

College Years:[edit]

Megan attended Seton Hall University for her undergrad studies where she undertook Political Science as her undergraduate major. [1]While attending Seton Hall as an undergraduate, Olivi interned with a multitude of programs at The Fox News Channel – at Fox Networks where her largest role came as an assistant to Megyn Kelly during the 2008 United States presidential election.[2] Olivi completed 4 years of undergraduate studies graduating Magna Cum Laude and decided to further her education by exploring on camera broadcasting as a potential future occupation. Olivi then pursued a Masters Degree in Public Communications and Mass Media Studies at Fordham University. During this period of time, Olivi continued to work at Fox, honing her skills on camera with a variety of online assignments and opportunities. Olivi completed her Master’s Degree in 9 months and graduated with Cum Laude honors.

Journalism Career:[edit]

Shortly after completing her Master's degree, Olivi was offered an opportunity to cover the sport of Mixed Martial Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada and decided to move across country and take a chance on this career opportunity. After taking this new job, Olivi fell in love with the sport of Mixed Martial Arts while also continuing to polish her on-camera skills. Most notably co-hosting the live Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Preshow “Fight Day”. Olivi then went on to work for Fox Sports covering UFC events and hosting lifestyle segments for FoxSports.com. In February of 2013, Olivi accepted a role as a correspondent for Fox News San Diego covering the San Diego Padres as a Social Media Reporter while also hosting and producing a weekly magazine show called “Padres POV”. Olivi soon moved on from her career with the Padres and returned to Las Vegas to pursue a reporting opportunity with the UFC where she currently travels the world covering UFC events.[3] Olivi also hosts “The Ultimate Insider” on Fox Sports 1.

Personal Life:[edit]

Per Olivi's personal website, "In her free time Megan enjoys spending time with her dog, hiking, running, doing yoga and cooking."[4] Olivi is also married to UFC Bantamweight contender Joseph Benavidez. The couple married in 2015.[5]
