Work at Home Moms

A work at home mom (WAHM) is a mother who works from her own home. This includes mothers that work at home while also caring for their children as well as mothers who work at home while paying for childcare. The typical work at home mother takes on the roles of a housewife as well as a full or part time job. Today, those jobs typically involve working over an internet connection to complete tasks. The term Work at home Mom (WAHM) is often replaced with the term Stay at home Mom (SAHM), though the technical definitions differ.

Although mothers are not the only ones staying home with their children (see [[1]]) or working at home while also being parents (see [[2]]), they do make up a large part of those that do stay at home.

Work at home mothers typically run into many issues with their jobs due to the time consuming issues that accompany being a parent and being at home for an extended period of time. Issues may also arise when stay at home moms or stay at home parents are distracted by the activities that are being done or chores that need to be done in the home.

If one wanted to become a work at home mother, or a work at home parent, they may run into many scams. The work at home community is one that is prone to scams due to the overwhelming demand for stay at home jobs. For this reason, it is important to fully research companies that offer this type of position.
