College team handball, is played as a club sport in several colleges and universities in the United States of America. College team handball is governed by USA Team Handball, and does not fall under the auspices of the NCAA. There are currently roughly 20 college teams—male and female—in the United States.
Team handball has been played as a club sport in universities since the 1970's with West Point (Army), Air Force and North Carolina being the most established programs. The season runs from September through May and clubs often participate in weekend tournaments vs clubs that may or may not be affiliated with a university. West Point and North Carolina annually host two of the most attended weekend tournaments. The
West Point in A collegiate champion hhas had a national championship tournament since 1977 with West Point winning the majority of the titles. The tournament is played over a 3 day weekend in the

The 2017 USA Collegiate Men's Team Handball Championship EHF was held on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC from 21-23 April 2017. West Point (Army) won their 11th consecutive title.
