Paras Nath (Hindi: पारस नाथ्; born 26th june) is an Indian flutist. Paras has delved into the realms of Shashtriya Sangeet (Indian Classical Music) for more than 15 years now. He has immaculate coordination with his brother in vocal jugalbandi. They are famous as "Nath Brothers".
Early life and Education[edit]
Paras was born to the renowned family of musicians of varanasi. He inherited his art from his own family tradition (Banaras Gharana) which has produced some of the great flutist of India.
He pursued his High School in Govt. Boys High School, Manjeri and Graduation in University of Delhi.
Personal Life[edit]
Paras Nath is a Grandson of Pandit Shiv Nath Prasad, the Indian Shehnai Maestro and son of Mrs. Meena Nath ji (Mother) and Pandit Amar Nath ji (Father). Pt. Amar Nath is a legend who has participated many a times in almost all the famous music conferences in India like ICCR, Sangeet Natak Akademi, Bharat Cultural Integration Committee, Sahitya Kala Parishad to name a few. He has two brothers Pawan Nath and Pankaj Nath. He and Pankaj Nath gave their first flute performance together at the tender age of nine. They have also given many successful solo performances in Doordarshan and Akashwani.
Career[edit]
Paras Nath was a child prodigy. He started his career when he was five years old.He started his training in the field of this most difficult wind instrument , under the expert guidance of their father Pandit Amar Nath.
