Myanmar Oriental Bank
[edit]Myanmar Oriental Bank Ltd. (Burmese: မြန်မာအရှေ့တိုင်းဘဏ် MOB Bank) is a private bank in Myanmar. MOB Bank was established on 26th July 1993 with the permission of the Central Bank of Myanmar[1]. The MOB Bank’s head office is located in the No.166-168 Pansodedan Road, Kyauktada Township of Yangon. In 2011, Myanmar Oriental Bank has developed an oversea network by establishing corresponding banking relationships with 60 banks worldwide and it became the first partnership bank in Myanmar with Western Union.
MOB Bank has 47 branches as of January 2020. Myanmar Oriental Bank offers retail and commercial banking products and services. The Bank is led by Daw Kyi Kyi Than(Chairman).

History
[edit]Myanmar Oriental Bank received its banking license from the Central Bank of Myanmar on 26th July 1993 and began operations on 18th November 1993.[1] The bank is authorized to operate as an investment or development bank for the domestic market and the approved banking activities include:
· Deposit taking in the forms of current, fixed, saving deposit and call deposit
· University Education Saving Scheme (UESS)
· Extension of commercial loan to business borrowers
· Trustee services
· Bill payment services
· Domestic remittance services
· International money transfer services
· ATM and POS debit card & credit card facilities
