Bruce Jenssen Bruce Jenssen is an American born Air Force physiologist who from 2001-2014 trained and conducted Enhanced Interrogation Techniques for The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (Canada's Foreign intelligence service).
== 2001-2009 == In 2001 Bruce and his Partner Dr. James Mitchell pitched to the CIA and CSIS that they came up with a way to physically coerce people into telling them Information. It was accomplished by using enhanced interrogation techniques a reversed form on "SEER" training used in Canadian and American special forces and air force schools. Throughout these years they came up with interrogation techniques including waterboarding, facial grasp, facial hold, sleep deprivation, loud music, flashing lights, abdominal slaps, facial slaps, dumping with water, forced nudity, confined spaces, stress positions, walling, shaking, foot stepping, hand-slaps and flicking.
== Payment == between the years of 2001- 2009 bruce Jenssen was paid 31 million dollars by CSIS for training other intelligence officers and performing interrogations and consulting.
== investigation == In 2010 CSIS and CIA came under fire for using these harsh techniques and for destroying some 59 tapes of the interrogations Bruce Jenssen was involved because of his role in creating the techniques. In 2013 CSIS was found no wrong doing in using the Techniques that many regarded as torture CSIS lawyers claimed that terrorist's are unlawful combatants and CSIS is run by civilian members so they don't fall under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, The Canadian army Interrogation Field manual. In 2014 they were again being investigated by the the Foreign Intelligence Oversight Committee for using torture which is illegal under the Geneva convention against torture but with legal loopholes no one was charged.
== Breaking into FIOC == in 2013 video showed 2 CSIS lawyers and 3 CSIS agents break into the oversight committee computer and record room and delete and take documents that may be incriminating 2 days later, the video ca was showed to the committee and CSIS lawyers but their justification was that they never had legal access or security clearance for those files thus once again no one was charged.
== End Result == In 2014 CIA lost their interrogation program so they were able to save their detention program instead. CSIS was able to retain both Their rendition and detention program and their interrogation programs on the condition that some methods were taken out of authorization and others altered . These Include: - three finger slap - Facial Hold - Shaking ( with neck-brace on) - Foot Stepping - Sleep deprivation for at most 7 days - flicking - Noise - lights - stress positions - follow the pen - dumping of water ( water must fall into certain temperature) - Partial nudity ( must now have at least underwear and shoes) - confined spaces ( boxes have been made larger) - Fear ex. dog barking
== Death == In 2003 a detainee named Gul Rahhmann al- paki died at one of CSIS black sites died of freezing in Afghanistan. The report found that the Afghani guards were responsible. CSIS said that Afghani Guards were guarding because the other guards were in flight there.
