From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm a Third Level U.S. Forest Ranger.

Also, I'm intensely fascinated with Gavin Collins, an English gentleman who has assisted in waging a crusade to eliminate a large amount of fantasy, sci-fi, and RPG related content. I was so fascinated that I created a profile. My days of anonymous editing were over.

Now, lest you think this is a SPA, let me assure you I do fully intend to participate in the improvement of articles, and what-not. But I feel I should be honest -- I was spurred to action by Mr. Collins.

Also, it has been suggested that I am a sock-puppet of Grawp. Well, I'm not. I'm just an interested third party.

And please, do not take this user account as a personal attack, Mr. Collins (if I may call you that). It's really an homage. There are probably dozens of editors who are perplexed and frustrated by your motivations and methods. What I want to do with this user page is explore the complexity of an ordinary accountant in Middlesex who decided, one fateful day, that while he professed no interest or expertise in role-playing games, he would take it upon himself to clean Wikipedia of all the non-notable role-playing game material clogging the Wiki-ether.

Here are some of my true gems, compliments of Gavin (feel free to add your own):

[1] Gavin's first action on Wikipedia? Creating a page for a non-notable Cricket Club with no secondary references. Shame.

[2]: Here Gavin claims a breach of WP:OR, then claims plagiarism in the very next breath. Hilarious.

[3] Gavin invents a statistic (only 4% of RPG industry sales come from books) and fails to either cite the source, or retract the claim once it was questioned.
