Mary and Martha is a 2013 British-American made for TV drama, written by Richard Curtis, directed by Philip Noyce, and starring Hilary Swank and Brenda Blethyn. It is the story about a wealthy American woman and a British working-class woman who both loose their sons to malaria in Mozambique, become friends and start campaigning together to help malaria sufferers in the region. The film, produced by Working Title Television, premiered on BBC One on 1 March 2013 to mark the start of the 2013 Comic Relief campaign, and will later also be shown in the United States by HBO.
