Alfaro Train Station

Alfaro Train Station (spanish Estación de Alfaro) is located in the Spanish city of Alfaro in the autonomous community of La Rioja. It is located at kilometer 5.2 of the Castejón-Bilbao railway line from Logroño and Miranda de Ebro at an altitude of 261 meters.

The station is north of the city center at the end of the avenue of Via. It has long and medium distance services operated by Renfe.

The station was inaugurated on August 30, 1863 with the opening of the Castejón – Orduña section of the railway line connecting Castejón and Bilbao. The construction work was carried out by the Tudela-Bilbao railway company founded in 1857. Renfe has been operating the line since December 31, 2004, while Adif is the owner of the railway facilities.
