Jason S Polk (born 1980) is a multi award winning assistant professor and karst scientist at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. His work in Belize and Florida has been featured in a number of publications, including Quaternary Research and Geophysical Research Letters. Dr. Polk was raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, but moved to Florida to earn his PhD in the Geography and Environmental Science Program at the University of South Florida. In addition to being an assistant professor in the Geosciences Department at WKU, he is Associate Director of Science at the Hoffman Environmental Research Institute (WKU) and Vice President of the Karst Conservancy, a national level land trust aimed at protecting karst landscapes in the United States.
