From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Battlebridge Basin is a canal basin on the Regent's Canal near Kings Cross.

The name 'Battlebridge' is from the fact this is the alleged site of Boadicea's successful battle with the Romans.

The Basin is owned and run by British Waterways and contains residential moorings.

The London Canal Museum is located on the eastern side in the old [Ice House] where [Mr Gatti] used to store large pieces of ice he had imported from Norwegian glaciers via Limehouse Basin (aka Regent's Canal Dock) in the days before electrical refrigeration.
