Albert Hall Whitfield (born October 12, 1849, in Aberdeen, Mississippi; died November 12, 1918, in Jackson, Mississippi) was an American scholar, attorney, and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mississippi.[1][2]

Whitfield was born in Aberdeen, Mississippi, the son of Robert Donnell Whitfield (1826 - 1890).

From 1872 to 1874 Whitfield was Adjunct Professor of Greek at the University of Mississippi, later being appointed Professor of Law.[3][1]

In 1894 Governor John M. Stone appointed Hall as associate justice of the Supreme Court of Mississippi.[1] Hall would serve as chief justice of the court from 1900 until 1908.[4]

Whitfield is buried in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Jackson, Mississippi.[6]
