Ohama Seaside Park is a park in Amami city. Amami Islands is a group of islands in the south of Kagoshima, Japan. It is part ofAmami Gunto National Park.　.

Overview

It has a sandy beach which is used as a swimming area, a lawn garden, an Amami Marine Museum which is an aquarium, and a campsite. The aquarium hold feeding sea turtles for tourists.

It was selected as one of Japan's Best 100 Beaches in 1996, and one of the 55 best swimming beaches in 1998. Also, it has been recognized as one of Japan's top 100 user friendly beaches in 2006. However, caution is the water depth because it has deeper water depth than height of adult here on the beachside. Also, there are often waves.
