The Blessed Tree ( Arabic: الشجرة المباركة ) is the only prophet's last surviving companion. It is in the northern part of the desert of Jordan. Where Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) had taken shelter more than 1400 years ago. So, if you read out history, you’ll came to know that, Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) set out to Syria with Maisarah (House Keeper Hazrat Khadijah R.A) for exchange of goods. These days, the tree is still alive and fruitful even desert are gone away and there’re no plants that live like that. This Documentary tells the amazing story of the encounter between Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him and the Christian Monk Bahira which took place at this tree. The documentary focuses on the belief that the very tree which witnessed this event is alive today in the Jordanian desert. Starting with a commentary from the King Abdullah of Jordan about the first time he visited the ‘Blessed Tree’ and the importance of the meeting of Prophet Muhammed with the monk Bahira, the documentary takes you straight into the subject matter.

History

[edit]

This incident was when our Beloved Prophet of Allah was 12 years old (1459 hijri years ago). It is the lonely tree available for around hundred square kilometers in that inhospitable desert north of Jordan. The only tree alive in hundreds of square miles of emptiness. Hundreds of evidences were given in ancient Vedas, Tourah and Bible (old Books) on appearance of the Last Messenger, Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم). He travelled to Syria with his uncle and took shelter under a tree. Today, after more than 1400 years, the same tree is alive in the northern desert of Jordan.

This is the tree that comprehends the adoration for Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) a favoured tree. A recent research in Jordan leads way to yet another proof on legitimacy of Islam and its messenger Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم). For actual believers simple statements from Allah are adequate to believe the truth. But those who restrain from real faith might ask for solid evidences. Allah will show ample evidences on His realities time and again as a reminder to those who still disbelieve. “The Prophet sitting under this tree, and its reacting to the Prophet makes the tree the only living terrestrial witness to the Prophet , what we would call in Arabic a sahabi.”

The trade route they would have taken across the Arabian desert means that the likely location of the meeting would have been the Jordanian desert. The meeting is particularly important as it was the first time that the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) was recognised as a prophet by the spiritual monk. After meeting Muhammed (SAW), Bahira the hermit monk tells Abu Talib to take good care of him and protect him from his enemies as he would be prophet for the end of time. Prince Ghazi remarks: “The Prophet sitting under this tree, and its reacting to the Prophet makes the tree the only living terrestrial witness to the Prophet, what we would call in Arabic a sahabi.”

Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad from Jordan explains how the tree was re-discovered after his late uncle, King Hussein, put him to work in the Royal Archives after returning from Cambridge University. It was there that researchers discovered numerous references to the tree, and a forgotten inventory made by King Abdullah I of the holy sites in Jordan. This takes us to a tree near Safawi in Jordan where the young Muhammed (SAW) is believed to have met with Bahira whilst travelling from Saudi with his uncle Abu Talib to modern-day Syria for trade.

This tree is the only living tree in hundreds of square miles of emptiness. (Ghulam Rasool Dehlvi in The Times of India, August 24, 2015) You can find this tree in the northern part of desert of Jordan.
