Edith Gertrude Willcock[edit]

Edith Gertrude Willcock was born in 1879, in Albrighton and died in 1953. she was known for being a biochemist.[1] She attended The King Edward VI high school in Birmingham in approximately the year 1890.

Edith Willcock attended King Edward VI high school in Birmingham , after this she furthered her studies by attending Newnham, college in Cambridge from 1900-1905. there she completed parts 1 and 2 of the natural science tripos, however in that time period, due to the inequality in the world, women were not officially awarded Cambridge bachelors's degrees.
