Audacity Inc. is a B2B agency that provides integrated marketing communications, advertising, and branding services to clients in the healthcare and life sciences industries. These services target multiple aspects of the product and marketing life-cycle umbrella, including research, strategy, planning, creative, media buying, media planning, media strategy, production, brand management, brand revitalization and web development.[1] The agency is headquartered in San Diego and operates a second office in Mougins, France.[2]

In addition to providing services in branding and marketing communications, Audacity also founded the Life Science Branding and Marketing Network.[3]. This Life Science Branding and Marketing Network is a first of its kind an online professional networking site focused on creating “a niche membership community within the life science industry and committed to sharing educational content that promises to help its members apply new branding and marketing strategies in the workplace”.[4]

History[edit]

Audacity was originally founded in 2002 as Orange Consulting, Inc. by Gaëtan Fraikin. The agency initially started in B2C marketing and branding for the technology and consumer-electronics industries before later transitioning exclusively to B2B services for the life science and healthcare industries. As part of this transition, in 2009, Orange Consulting was officially renamed Audacity, Inc. It was later stated in a 2012 interview that the decision to form the agency came from Fraikin's passion toward the subject of branding and its "combination of art and science".[5]

Global expansion & E3 Agency Network[edit]

In February 2011, Audacity underwent its first noteworthy expansion by opening a second office location in Sophia Antipolis, Europe’s largest technology park.[6][7] Following this expansion, Audacity went on to become the second US-based agency to join the E3 Agency Network, an international association of 30 independent marketing communications agencies.[8]

Awards[edit]

In 2013, Audacity Inc. was awarded 2nd place for its "Brand Supremacy" campaign at the Annual Dx Creative Communications Awards.[9] The ceremony, hosted by the Diagnostic Marketing Association (DxMA), "honors the best of the best in diagnostics advertising, marketing and promotional programming."[10]

Key Industries[edit]

Audacity Inc. services both the healthcare and life sciences industries. The agency’s focus areas within those sectors include biotechnology, genetics, genomics, biopharmaceuticals, bioinformatics, medical imaging, medical devices, healthcare, cosmetics, nutrition, wellness, and fitness.
