The Sleepycast, or the SleepyCabin Podcast is an audio and video podcast hosted by a conglomerate of friends who are well-known as animators and voice actors that originate from the website, Newgrounds. The Sleepycast is known for their black comedy and crude humor, all the while providing their honest perspective on various topics such as Video games, art, etc. The Sleepycast's pilot episode, "Just Spittin' the Shit" was released on September 24, 2014 on YouTube, along with a couple other episodes.
Background
[edit]The SleepyCabin consists of seven members, each in a variety of skills and fame. All of them were originally users of the website, Newgrounds, which has been active since 1995. All (except JohnnyUtah) migrated to YouTube where they received more notoriety as the website become popular. Each of them has all worked alongside each other on various projects, long before the SleepyCabin was created. As of now, the most well-known of the group is Chris (Oney), whose animation channel is currently at 2.2 Million subscribers, with his most viewed work being Wingardium Leviosa, a Harry Potter parody currently at 44 Million views. Cory (Spazkid) is known for his lewd style of comedy and animation. His most well-known cartoon is the animated music video of "Rap Battle: Ken vs. Ryu," for the eponymous album of Starbomb. Currently, Cory and Jeff, alongside Tom Fulp are working on Nightmare Cops, that next game for the Behemoth.
History
[edit]The SleepyCabin was the creation of Will Stamper and Chris O'Neil when the two were based in Philadelphia.[1] There were many names thrown between the two, such as CandleCabin, BonerCabin, Cockbomb, and Cuddlepile.[2] But SleepyCabin had stuck
