This is a suggestion for Wikipedia:Template standardisation/article.

The idea is to favour the reader, making obvious only the things they may need to know about an article. For example, the fact that an article needs a cleanup is not as important as the fact that there is an ongoing POV dispute. Widths are not set (unlike talk page templates) because you will not usually see more than one per talk page, however, deletion templates have a 95% width to prevent them filling the whole page.

You may use any of these designs to create your own submissions.

Categories of template[edit]

Deletion[edit]

Location: Top centre
Style: All the same as below (bgcolor #EEDDEE). It would be nice to have an image (top left corner of the box), perhaps of a rubbish bin or something.
Timeframe: Temporary (until the vote is over)

Disputes and warnings[edit]

Location: Top centre of article or section
Style: Very similiar to the existing one. An important warning about the page should be highlighted, and the light red (pink!) is the best to indicate a problem. The image should default to Image:Stop_hand.png but if there is a more relevant one that can be used instead.
Timeframe: Temporary (until the process is over)

Style: Grey (#E5E5E5) and small, based on the assumption that they are merely maintenance notices that do not need massive prominence. People either know what it means or they don't, and a simple "What is this?" link easily explains it.
