Heya! My name is Titus, and I'm currently a twenty-year old university student from Tennessee, USA. I'm a regular Wikipedia user, and love learning about all sorts of topics from history and biology to psychology and religion. While I'm currently working on my B.A., my plan and hope is to get into a graduate school for Library and Information Sciences.
A bit more about me personally; I was raised in small-town Tennessee, and raised evangelical Christian (Churches of Christ). Within just the last year, I've managed to walk away from my faith as a whole after running my own evaluation. I was brought up being taught that the Earth was only six-thousand years old, that evolution was a hoax, and that personal experiences were reliable scientific methods to reach conclusions. My faith dominated most my life; I've spent several weeks of my life both in Ensenada, Mexico and Cusco, Peru evangelizing and doing other mission work. For many years, I wanted to work as a missionary overseas, and I believe that it was the fact that to be a missionary, I would need to be able to give others a good reason to convert to my faith that I ended up abandoning mine.
Besides the religious overtones that dominated by growing up, I had plenty of positive experiences. I have two parents who I know care for me, even when we disagree. I have friends who continue to push me to be my best. Perhaps most importantly, the bits of hardship I have been through have allowed me to become who I am today. Without struggle, I don't believe we as humans grow, and so I try to take advantage of the struggles when they arise!
A few more random facts, perhaps: I have a pretty severe case of AoS which can make talking a struggle. Though I call myself Titus (after Titus, Titus, Tidus, and Titus), my legal name is actually Trevor. Unfortunately, R isn't one of my good letters. I have an obsession with airports, and I love the organized chaos and the variety of people I see every time I visit one. I also adore music, despite my own personal complete lack of talent, and am a little obsessed with BTS. I also love reading, with some of my favorite authors being Agatha Christie, N. K. Jemisin, and (as any 2000s kid should) Rick Riordan.
