“Wolf Woman” Jennifer McCarthy has appeared on national television (NBC, ABC, CBS, Bravo) and in publications such as National Geographic Adventure Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, Southwest Airlines Spirit Magazine, Orange Coast Magazine, Urban Dog Magazine, 5280 Magazine, Splash Magazine, Pet Business, Tails Pet Magazine, The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Pet Product News, The Dog Daily.com, iParenting.com, Wolf Visions, The Daily Times-Call, Palm Beach Daily News, and Palm Beach Society Magazines. She has also appeared on the nationally syndicated radio show The Animal Radio Network as well as radio stations across Colorado. For over a decade, she has trained the likes of A-list television, film, and music celebrities and has traveled around the country as a live-in dog trainer for some of the world’s most influential people.

McCarthy is a fourth generation dog trainer and is skilled in a wide variety of fields including: obedience, behavior, protection, training for television and print, trick training, Schutzhund and American Kennel Club (AKC) handling. Jennifer has also initiated an extensive study into wolf behavior in the wild to observe its impact on domestic dogs. As an avid volunteer at Mission: Wolf and explorer into the backcountry of Yellowstone National Park, Jennifer offers an unconventional insight into today’s pet problems like no one else in the industry. Further research and the development of a documentary are slated for trips to Yellowstone and Denali, Alaska in 2009.

Continued education, constant research and attendance at industry seminars and conferences keep McCarthy at the top of her game. Her amazing personal journeys into the wild and informative approach to pet issues have been recognized everywhere from her blog Speak! to publications like Tails Pet Magazine, and retailer Planet Dog.

Jennifer has studied and consulted with veterinarians, animal control, K-9 Officers, and top breeders; most notably, Enid Quick, top breeder and AKC Judge of thirty-five years who has produced over 100 AKC Champions since 1979. Jennifer has also studied underneath Captain Haggerty, former Captain of the U.S. K-9 Corps, renowned author, and “Grandfather of Dog Trainers”.

She was worked with dog behavior expert Cesar Millan in National Geographic Channel's Dog Whisperer in rehabilitating 3 wolfdogs.

An accomplished entrepreneur, she is the Principal of The K-9 Ranch Training Center and Jennifer McCarthy World Class Dog Training in Boulder, Colorado with a satellite office in Los Angeles, California.
