Highway Trailers was a manufacturer of road hauled trailers based at Southampton Airport in the 1960s. The original company was US in origin. The UK company used the name and H logo under license.
The main product was the semi-trailer with either a single or twin axle. Specials were made of the semi trailer with three axles. Other trailer types were also manufactured. These include the road chassis for the Hoyner car transporter and special four wheel 'pole' trailers for hauling pipes. There was also an extra long trailer with a steerable bogie.
They also manufactured under the Multiwheeler name. Multiwheeler had been a manufacturer of road trailers based in London. The last Multiwheeler trailer was a specialist semi-trailer for transporting forklift truck at a low level so they could be driven off the trailer.
