AlternaFISH Radio is a music show, created and hosted by positive rock artist, Willy Cleary, featuring positive rock and hip hop music. Created in association with Salem Communications, the largest provider of Christian media in the United States, this show was one of the first of its kind. The genre of music associated with AlternaFISH Radio is Christan Rock and Christian CHR. Familiar artists featured on the show include Skillet, Hawk Nelson, Toby Mac, Lecrae, and Family Force 5. AlternaFISH is a different, more modern, positive approach for youth.^[1] The show first aired on 95.5 the FISH in Cleveland, Ohio on March 21st, 2009. Cleary reportedly used only eight days to learn the radio format and prepare the show.^[1] AlternaFISH also operates as a 24-hour internet music station at alternafishradio.com, along with mobile applications for iPhone, Blackberry, and Android devices.
