Zülfü Tolga Ağar (born December 8, 1975 in Ankara) is a turkish businessman and politician.

Background and personal life[edit]

Ağar grew up as the son of the former Minister of Justice (53. government period) and Minister of the Interior (54. government period) Mehmet Ağar and his mother Emel. He attended elementary school (Sisli Terakki College) in Istanbul and secondary school in Ankara (Yukselis College) and Istanbul (Semiha Sakir Bilge Kagan Istek College).^[1] Ağar then went to the Mount Ida College to study business administration and graduated in 1999.^[2] Back in Turkey, he completed his military service and started to work as production manager and international trade deputy manager.

Subsequently, he became an investor in the food and beverage industry as well as construction, informatics, finance and fuel trade.

Ağar is member of the Chamber of Shipping in Turkey and the Galatasaray sports club.

He is the father of a son.

Career[edit]

In 2014, he decided to join the Justice and Development Party and became a member of the Sarıyer District Organization.^[3] Subsequently, he became the coordinator of the party organization in the Aegean Region. In the 2018 elections for the Grand National Assembly he got elected for his hometown Elazığ.^[4]

He also acts as a member of the National Defence Comission.
