Anchor Paint Manufacturing is a paint and coatings manufacturing Company. Its corporate office and manufacturing facility are located in Tulsa Oklahoma with retail stores located throughout Oklahoma and in Arkansas and Colorado. Anchor Paint produces a wide range of both water borne and oil based industrial and residential protective coatings with the exclusion of automobile coatings. Anchor Paint is part of the Guild CPO, an international organization of paint, coatings and related manufacturers. [2]

Anchor Paint was established by Emerson D. Fowler, his wife Wanda, and his brother Roy Fowler in 1962. Emerson and Roy were both chemists and Emerson was credited as the developer of latex paint[3][4]. When the paint company began, they hit the ground running. Tulsa had gained the title of Oil Capital of the World and much of Anchor's sales in the twentieth century were related to the oil industry. The company took a hit when the oil industry went bust in Oklahoma in the early 1980's.[1][5] Anchor weathered the storm by continuing to diversify and supply coatings to meet needs in other industries. It is now a third generation family owned company with Chip Meade as the current CEO and his son Justin as the COO.
Facility[edit]
Both corporate office and manufacturing facility are now located on the 60,000-square-foot facility near midtown Tulsa[1]. This location, which has undergone two additions, also supports an on-site retail center available to consumers.
