Evergreen Trail Runs([2]) is a running series in the Pacific Northwest that organizes trailruns in local parks and forests.

The courses offered by Evergreen Trail Runs feature a mix of short and long distances, ranging from 5 mile, 10 mile, half-marathon and marathon, to ultra-marathon distances such as 50k and above. More than one distance category is usually offered at each race to offer runners the chance to progress towards longer distances, or to give them the opportunity to run with friends and family who’s "ideal" running distances may differ.

True to its name, Evergreen Trail Runs seeks innovative ways to be “green.” Unorthodoxly, the race organization team brings their own dishes to events, foregoing the ease of throw-away paper dishes, and all course are marked by reusable, "clip-on" streamers vs. the typical throw away type.

Evergreen Trailruns is a production of 4th Dimension Racing([3]). Other events organized by 4th Dimension Racing since 2005 include Adventure Races (multisport race with navigation), Rogaine Races (orienteering races), Mountain Bike Races and Snowshoe Races.

Evergreen Trail Runs Race Locations[edit]

  • Soaring Eagle State Park - Soaring Eagle sits above Patterson Creek on the edge of the Sammamish Plateau along the western flank of the Snoqualmie River Valley in Sammamish, WA. It features 600 acres of mature forests, wetlands, and wildlife habitat and provides sanctuary for black bear, bobcat, black tail deer and more than 40 species of birds. The distances offered at this park include 5 mile, 10 mile, half-marathon and 50k. All courses start on a wide and comfortable, woodchip-covered trail, before heading out to the singletrack.
  • Lord Hill Regional Park - Lord Hill Regional Park is a regional country park located in Snohomish County, Washington. Lord Hill is a steep ridge rising from the Snohomish River Valley floor. Douglas-fir and western hemlock are the main conifer species growing in this second growth forest. The course starts and finishes at the north parking lot. Each loop is a figure eight with a lollipop loop. About 35 percent is fire road and 65 percent is single track. Distances offered are 10 mile, 20 mile and 50km.
  • Grand Ridge Regional Park - Grand Ridge Park is 1,200 acres of pristine forest rising 1,100 feet in elevation above Issaquah and Lake Sammamish. The steep slope above the North Fork of Issaquah Creek is covered by stands of large second growth Douglas fir trees. These groves of western red cedar trees and sword ferns provide a combination of lush green shades and soft, foliage covered trails that feel great under the feet. The distances offered at this park are 5 mile, half-marathon and 50km and all courses utilize the north side of the park.
  • Lake Sammamish - Lake Sammamish State Park is a 512-acre day-use park with 6,858 feet of waterfront on Lake Sammamish. The park includes diverse natural wetlands, a large great blue heron rookery and the salmon-bearing Issaquah Creek, and one of the largest freshwater beaches in the greater Seattle area. The distances offered at this park are half-marathon and marathon. The marathon course starts and finishes Marymoor Park, and half-marthon runners will be shuttled from Marymoor Park to Lake Sammamish State Park for the Half-marathon distance.
