Tie-breaking criteria for group play
14.7The following criteria shall be used to determine the final standings:
14.7.1Most points in all group matches;
14.7.2If two (2) Participating Teams are tied in points in all group matches:
14.7.2.1Greater number of points in matches between the Participating Teams concerned (head to head competition);
14.7.2.2Greater goal difference in all group matches;
14.7.2.3Greater number of goals scored in all group matches; and
14.7.2.4Kicks from the penalty mark as per the Laws of the Game, at a time and place decided by the Canada Soccer General Coordinator.
14.9If three (3) or more Participating Teams are tied in points in all group matches the following are the only criteria to break the tie:
14.9.1Greater goal difference in matches between the Participating Teams concerned (head to head competition);
14.9.2Greater number of goals scored in all matches between the Participating Teams concerned;
14.9.3Greater goal difference in all group matches;
14.9.4Greater number of goals scored in all group matches; and
14.9.5Drawing of lots to determine ranking at a time and place decided by the Match Commissioner.
