Nur Rofiah (born in Randudongkal, Pemalang, Central Java, September 6, 1971) is an Indonesian academic and women's rights' activist. Rofiah is currently a lecturer at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University and a lecturer at the Postgraduate program at Perguruan Tinggi Ilmu Al-Quran (PTIQ) Jakarta. She received her doctorate in Quranic Interpretation from Ankara University in Turkey.[1] Her book entitled "Studies on Law and Punishment in Islam: The Ideal Concept of Hudud and Its Practice" was published by Komnas Perempuan in 2018. Rofiah also wrote the prologue for the book Qiraah Mubadalah: Progressive Tafsir for Gender Justice in Islam (2019) written by Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir.
