Emergence of E-banking in Iran
The ATM innovation , returns to 1960 decade. The first and perhaps most compelling claim to the original innovation, in terms of patent evidence, is a development in the UK from the specialist engineering firm Smiths Industries, who developed a system in conjunction with CHUBB Lock and Safe Co [1] . The CHUBB system was first deployed by the Westminster Bank, at its Victoria branch on the July 31, 1967. This followed a four months joint development period by the bank and CHUBB in order to bring it to market. But at last, John Shepherd Barron (managing director of De La Rue) managed to record its patent (the first cash dispenser machine) on June 27, 1967. This research points to the first using of cash dispenser machine in 1971 in Tehran Bank when installed 6 machines of CHUBB MD4s ATMs in its branches in Tehran included Chauhaur Raahe Pahlavi, Ferdousi, Bazar, Jamalzadeh, Takht e Jamsid, and then increased them to 12 machines in all the country(expanded to these cities: Chaulous, Shiraz, Isfahan, Rasht, Mashhad ). This paper will try to introduce interesting information about the emergence and using of dispensing machines in Iran. To record the history of e-payment and e-banking in Iran And also to show the impact of banks on developing initial enterprise software in all the world.[2]
