Your recent edits seem to have the appearance of edit warring after a review of the reverts you have made on Hong Kong. Users are expected to collaborate and discuss with others and avoid editing disruptively.

Please be particularly aware, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Courcelles 08:07, 1 September 2011 (UTC) --  Read

I do not understand why you are warning me. I have not made more than 3 reversions within 24 hours on that page. After listening to what Rohith goura said, I stopped editing that page. Please remove this template as soon as possible. -- 7D HMS (talk) 08:09, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
You made 3 reverts in 55 minutes. One more, and I will block your editing access for a while. Courcelles 08:12, 1 September 2011 (UTC) --  Read
Fine. I understand that in this world people only care what others do wrong but not what others do right. I have been a good Wikipedian since my membership was created, and I have to be blocked for just one mistake? -- 7D HMS (talk) 08:15, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
Notice that you are not blocked. The prior template was a mere warning, that continuing the same behaviour would cause you to be blocked. If you will not do so, you can simply blank this section, and we need speak no more of the matter. Courcelles 08:21, 1 September 2011 (UTC) --  Read
Ok. Anyway, I apologise for the mistakes I have made. -- 7D HMS (talk) 08:32, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Mystery

Please solve this mystery if you can...

On September 23rd, traffic to Portal:James Bond doubled, and has stayed at the new level since then. I can't figure out what happened.

See http://stats.grok.se/en/201109/Portal%3AJames_Bond

Traffic to Outline of James Bond stayed the same (though it was at the higher-level already), which leads me to suspect changes made somewhere in Wikipedia.

See http://stats.grok.se/en/201109/Outline%20of%20James_Bond

I'd like to find out what happened, in case it reveals helpful link placement tips that can double the traffic to outlines too!

I look forward to your reply. The Transhumanist 00:00, 6 October 2011 (UTC) --  Read

Hello, thanks for your message. Let me try to find out what happened. I will get back to you as soon as possible. -- 7D HMS (talk) 12:00, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
Well, I am very sorry to tell you that I cannot find out any reason for that drastic change. Maybe we can attract others to visit outlines by putting the links of the outlines onto the main articles. For example, in the end of the introduction paragraph of Geography, we can write something like "If you want to know more about geography, please take a look at the outline of geography.". -- 7D HMS (talk) 09:10, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
I agree. Additional links to Outlines from articles might be helpful. Perhaps we could make a small template to appear at the bottom of a page containing a link to the relevant outline. I think of something like the the portal link at the bottom of Vegeta. Toshio Yamaguchi (talk) 09:21, 10 October 2011 (UTC) --  Read

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Department of Geography and Resource Management, Chinese University of Hong Kong, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Noted, but was the page I created really considered as one that was unambiguous advertising which promoted only a specific company, product, group, service or person? In that case, should all pages talking about companies, schools, etc. be deleted? -- 7D HMS (talk) 10:42, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Kai Tak Airport

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Kai Tak Airport. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. This airport was known as VHHH for many decades. I had witnessed the last day's weather report transmitted as VHHH. Today only flight simulators call Kai Tak VHHX. Even if in the last few days softwares called Kai Tak VHHX, that does not eternalize VHHX as the code for Kai Tak. Historically it was VHHH, and since the code was taken over by Chek Lap Kok, it uses strikeout mode--if the code was discontinued, we wouldn't need strikeout. HkCaGu (talk) 17:51, 11 December 2011 (UTC) --  Read

Thank you for your comment, but I think it is quite incorrect to say that my edit on Kai Tak Airport appears to be vandalism. If you take a look at List of airports by ICAO code: V section 5, Kai Tak Airport is listed as VHHX. I was simply attempting to unify the information on Wikipeda when I made the edit on Kai Tak Airport. I would be very happy if you can share with me more about what you know in this area. Thank you. -- 7D HMS (talk) 09:49, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for alerting me to the other problem. HkCaGu (talk) 18:22, 12 December 2011 (UTC) --  Read
