April 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Yamaguchi先生. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Bhujel, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Note that anonymously published blogs and other user-generated websites are generally not suitable as sources for Wikipedia articles. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:No original research policy as well as Wikipedia:Reliable sources content guidelines. Hello Yamaguchi先生. I understand your concern regarding information placed on Wikipedia without a cited source, especially regarding topics on living people. However, I did cite a source when I edited the article on Nepal’s Bhujel caste. The source was Indigenous Voice, a Nepal-based website focused on reporting on indigenous peoples (mainly in Nepal, where the Bhujels are mostly located) and describing their cultures and past. I reviewed Wikipedia’s Reliable Sources informational page, and I believe that this article is reliable. In the case that the issue is something other than the source’s reliability, I would like to request a more detailed description of the problem. If you simply missed the citation, then I understand that the blame would be on me, as I added the citation in a separate edit. Нұрасыл Абдрахманов (talk) 20:15, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Нұрасыл Абдрахманов for your reply. The primary concern is that the cited Indigenous Voice article appears to be a self-published blog of sorts, where the publication is anonymously attributed to "Admin", and that this publication lacks editorial oversight and fails to meet guidelines as a reliable source. Please see WP:RS/SPS and WP:UGC which discusses user-generated and self-published sources in greater detail. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 20:55, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kham language, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Karnali. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
