Welcome!

Hello! I noticed your contributions to Mount Taranaki and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).

Happy editing! Suggestions:

  • Check Talk page of article before making change in naming wording where issue may have raised controversy. The wording consensus appears to have evolved over decades and while I might prefer Taranaki myself any subtle naming change would be by convention in this case tested in Talk.
  • Check result of your edit: I suspect all wikipedia servers internationally (not all Wikipedia users are in NZ) fell down on serving this page for a few hours due to a cache timing issue as perhaps you did not check your edit as a draft before publishing. The result was the serving up a page full of red warning messages. Easy to solve on a page refresh, in this case by undoing your unreferenced edit.
