[edit]Warning removed. --DanielRigal (talk) 21:27, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
- I beg your pardon?! How were my edits to Dinesh D'Souza vandalism? I was attempting to make the article more concise. Not all change is bad. 128.135.98.227 (talk) 21:08, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
- This is a highly controversial subject and you made very major changes that removed quite a lot of material and did not provide any edit summary. This article has been subject to edit warring with vandals seeking to censor information that they do not like. Recently D'Souza has made some spectacularly ill advised tweets which has driven a lot of angry people to the article. On a cursory look, your edit looked like more of the same. I am looking at your edit more closely now and I can't decide whether you really just wandered into a minefield without realising it. Maybe you did. Our policy is to assume good faith so I've removed the warning. Instead, I'll give you some advice:
- When you want to make major edits to an article then discuss it on the talk page first. If nobody objects or makes a counterproposal then go ahead with the edit.
- Exercise greater than usual caution with controversial topics. (Pretty much anything to do with American politics is likely to be extremely touchy until after their upcoming elections.)
- Always provide an edit summary to explain what you are going and why.

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
