[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to List of best-selling Nintendo Switch video games, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 01:01, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, I just noticed that your Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle information was from 2018, and I was trying to update it. I looked online and found an article on it, and attempted to change it. 140.82.158.132 (talk) 01:08, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- Your update should be reverted as the game did not sell 7.5 million copies and the article falsely says so. The tweet in the article says 7.5 million players, not copies sold. It had, just like the 10 million players number, been explained at length several times in the talk page to various people that it's not a sales number.
- Additionally for future edits, even if the number was actually sales and not players, the "as of" date you gave is completely wrong. You need to pay attention to when the source was published or wether it states a date when the number had been reached. "As of" is not when the edit was made but when the sales number was reached. The article you linked was not published yesterday. BB1802 (talk) 06:55, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
