@Willondon stop policing the edits to fit your political agenda 164.63.238.15 (talk) 13:05, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have no political agenda. Your two edits were to Mary Hawkins Butler, the mayor of a city over 1,000 miles away from me, in the political system of a country I don't even live in. Your edits, on the other hand, were to [1] change a reference to "Hawkins Butler" to "Queen Mary", and [2] to change the first sentence from "mayor of Madison, Mississippi" to "queen of Madison, Mississippi". And there have been many other "queen" edits from different IPs on the article. Who really has the political agenda here? My reverts and monitoring are efforts to correct vandalism in Wikipedia. So your request is denied. signed, Willondon (talk) 17:54, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Willondon if you're not from the area, then you wouldn't know that she us referred to as "Queen Mary" by the population of her city. This is not vandalism of the post. The fact that you say that "many other queen edits from different IPs" would confirm that I'm not the only one attempting to correct the article. 164.63.238.15 (talk) 20:18, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's not a correction of the article. To the outside world, she is the mayor, not the queen. No sources have ever been given for the edit. Certainly no reliable secondary sources, and remember that secondary sources not only verify that it is so, but that an outside source has noted it, making it noteworthy. So if a local group of concerned editors want to change 'mayor' to 'queen', perhaps with a political agenda, it'll have to be done in a way suitable for inclusion in a global encyclopedia. Ignoring this will just be considered as vandalism. So stop Stop icon changing the article to read "Queen Mary". That is behaviour that will result in being blocked from editing. signed, Willondon (talk) 20:47, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Willondon your Terms of Use state that I am responsible for my own edits and that you do not represent any truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of any content. You calling the edits vandalism is a personal choice, and reflect your own bias. The edits do not call for violence, harassment, threats, stalking or spamming of the account. There is no intentional libel or defamation by editing the name of the mayor. I'll meet you in the middle and edit the article stating "known by her constituents as 'Queen Mary'" 164.63.238.15 (talk) 21:07, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have any terms of use here. I am not Wikipedia. The rest of your statement is true, too, including up to "I'll meet you in the middle". You can't meet me in the middle, because I am not Wikipedia. If you want to say "known by her constituents as 'Queen Mary'", you will want a source for that, and most certainly a reliable secondary source, to indicate that this is a notable thing about the topic of the article in an encyclopedia that is global in scope. signed, Willondon (talk) 21:49, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Willondon no, I don't think so. If you're not Wikipedia, then you can't stop me from editing. Have a pleasant day 164.63.238.15 (talk) 22:34, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
