Information icon Hello, I'm Moriwen. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Grodno Region, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Moriwen (talk) 16:33, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Moriwen I do not think that you made a mistake, because in fact there are two options, but in accordance with the fact that the name is taken from the Belarusian language, the language of the state in which the Hrodna region is located, I concluded that it would be better to use the name in accordance with the language of the origin of the given name. But I did not look for a source confirming my idea (so far), due to the fact that I am a beginner and was not fully familiar with the entire list of rules. The only source of correction was only the fact that I myself am from Belarus 178.121.36.178 (talk) 16:40, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense! You could well be right; I'd suggest leaving a comment on the talk page, and then other Belarusian editors can chime in :) — Moriwen (talk) 17:20, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It must follow the title otherwise a WP:RM should be requested. The guideline is WP:BELARUSIANNAMES. We are following the common name in this instance. Mellk (talk) 19:01, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
