[edit]You've been making a lot of additions to this article, which is very welcome. However, you seem to be writing from your personal knowledge without including any references to support them. Please ensure that you support all factual statements with an inline citation so that others can assess whether what is said is correct or not. This is a key element of Wikipedia and, as a biologist myself, I believe it's essential that we assist editors in researching topics further. It's the inclusion of references to Reliable sources that enable them to do that. Otherwise this encyclopaedia becomes a mish-mash of personal opinions and half-garbled facts.
