No it is not OK to remove the article name from the lead paragraph and the infobox. But you already knew that, didn't you!

  • Please read Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. i.e. the purpose of Wikipedia is to provide a politically-neutral encyclopaedia. If you want to promote a political point of view, you are in the wrong place. Try Facebook or Twitter.
  • Please read WP:COMMONNAME. Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it prefers the name most commonly used by independent, reliable, English-language sources.
