The owner says the team is "for sale," however, he also does not plan to bring the team back. So unless a buyer is announced, and the new owner actually has a league and a roster, the team is considered defunct. Yosemiter (talk) 17:02, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The owner never said he did not plan to bring the team back, therefore that is an inaccurate statement. Isn't Wikipedia supposed to deal with the facts only? The fact is that the team is up for sale. The fact is it's off season, therefore not having a league is not an indication that the team is defunct. Isn't it up to the owners to announce that the team is ceasing or suspending operations? If that becomes the case, then "the team" will announce it. Until then the owners should have the right to update information about their own page without someone changing it back with non-facts and/or their opinion based on what "usually" happens with other indoor teams. This inaccurate "assumption" has the potential to affect current ongoing negotiations with several interested parties. Please do not infer the situation based on the team being up for sale, or based on what usually happens to other teams. At this time the LLC is still active and intact and the team is up for sale. Those are the only facts that should be on a page pertaining to a business that we own. As for the 2016 record, the Blitz were 4-3 prior to forfeiting the last game of the season (it's still on the AIF schedule, shows 4 wins and 3 losses). With the last game being forfeited, that makes record of 4-4. At this time, the Chicago Blitz still retains a roster.

According to our records (not just wikipedia, but actual fans and record keepers) the Blitz were falsely given a forfeit win for an April 30 game by the AIF that was never scheduled to be played after the Blue Racers folded before the season (and also was not listed on the AIF Schedule tab until after the random forfeit win was given). Maybe you can please send a link that indicates there was ever a game scheduled and against which team? The AIF records were notoriously bad last year and constantly shifting. The May 28 game was cancelled and also not listed as forfeit or indicated on any AIF records (hence more obvious AIF inconsistency). Some sites (such as this one) even list the record the 2-4 because they don't count the game against the semi-pro team but do count the forfeit. So yes we are sticking to the facts and if the team page somehow affects your sale (which it already said), then you should probably improve your salesmenship. However, I did change it to remove the one line that says "Folded" (FOR SALE is not a template parameter nor ever will be since, as I have stated, in 99.9999% of cases of "for sale" low-level teams is business parlance for defunct)and changed the "were" to an "are."
Also, since you have now declared it, you might want to read WP:Conflict of Interest. Yosemiter (talk) 01:55, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have to agree with Yosemiter here. There isn't anywhere that indicates that the April 30th game was ever anything other than a random win placed on the Blitz schedule. The Blitz do no acknowledge the game on Facebook or on their website even. I believe the current state of the Wikipedia page is accurate. It states that the Blitz website says the team is for sale, and the 3-3 record is accurate. DMC511 13:23, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
