Your edits to RapeLay

[edit]

Hi - I have reverted the bulk of this edit you made to the article RapeLay. I am not clear on why you removed the specific information about Keith Vaz, which was relevant and reflected the source. But a much bigger issue was your decision to insert the word "faux" before "bewilderment." The cited source gave no indication that the bewilderment was insincere, and to add something like that simply because you personally believe it must have been goes sharply against core Wikipedia principles such as WP:NPOV and WP:V. This is an even bigger problem when you insert this kind of wording into a sourced statement, as it then implies that the source was making the claim that the bewilderment was "faux." I appreciate your desire to make Wikipedia better, but edits such as this are seriously counterproductive (even on articles about absurd topics) and I would urge you to familiarize yourself with WP:NPOV in particular before continuing to edit. The Teahouse is a good resource for asking questions if you're ever unsure about anything. Good luck! -Elmer Clark (talk) 16:55, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
