Thanks re Harry Dunn

[edit]

Good call on "the". WP articles should not be written in journalistic style. PS: Why not get an account? Easier to thank you then.--Quisqualis (talk) 16:34, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Will consider more formal involvement with Wikipedia based on how this subject pans out. For example, if others ignore convention and insist on incorrect usage then I know Wikipedia is not for me as I’m not interested in wasting time on arguing with those who try to impose personal preferences over accepted norms. Thank you again.
that editor is pretty worked up right now, but on Wikipedia we discuss things. You will find (usually) good buy-in from editors who respect the English language. In some fields, the concept of subtleties of language is alien (pop culture obsessions, gaming, etc).--Quisqualis (talk) 17:00, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping. But "pretty worked up"? Over what, exactly? I just filled in the gaps with the same change? Or is it just me that has "no respect for the English language"? lol Martinevans123 (talk) 17:06, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
