Welcome!
[edit]- Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
- Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
- You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
- You might want to add yourself to the New User Log
- If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language
- Full details on Wikipedia style can be found in the Manual of Style.
In answer to your message at Talk:Blackground Records, there's a lot of obscurely written material that needs to be made clearer; it's also in an unecyclopædic music-journalism style, full of jargony words and constructions. It also needs to be properly wikified (internal links, dates, etc.). To be honest it's more "cleanup" than "copyedit". I'll have a go at it when I have time. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 17:15, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
- A few things to watch out for. Numbers under 100 (and at least under ten) should be written out; don't link months (links should be given when the term is directly relevant, with the main exception of full dates, where linking controls the formatting), and avoid "in December of 1996" (just "in December 1996"). It's all there somewhere in the Manual of Style and other guidelines, if you can find the time (a couple of weeks or so) to plough through the documents. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 09:12, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
LAX
[edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you create. If you wish to contest this nomination place a hangon tag on the page. --Daniel J. Leivick 23:55, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
AfD Nomination: LAX (group)
[edit]An editor has nominated the article LAX (group) for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/LAX (group). Add four tildes like this ~~~~ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article LAX (group) during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Speedy deletion of Brianna Cara
[edit]A tag has been placed on Brianna Cara, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. B1atv 00:07, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Forget You
[edit]A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Forget You, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Bongwarrior 03:58, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
