Difference between "as they manifest" and "as they are manifested"

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you changed the words "as they manifest" to "as they are manifested" in this article's lead section. I'd appreciate it if you could explain the difference between the two, as they both seem correct to me. Thanks Alon Alush (talk) 11:47, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Black genocide in the United States. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 13:21, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Mark Fuhrman, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ~ Dictionary (chat) 02:45, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Hello again. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Judaism and violence, goes against MOS:NOTSEEALSO, a Wikipedia guideline. You may find it helpful to look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You added too many links, many of which are either already in the article body, or could be added to the body instead. Other links are way too off-topic for this article. If you are not sure about which links are appropriate to add to an article, I suggest that you err on the side of caution and not include them. Thank you. Just so you know, the reason I am reverting some of your edits is because you keep adding unnecessary syntax. If English is not your first language, you may want to run proposed changed through the Talk Page instead. If you are a native English speaker, (no offense intended) might I suggest you take some online courses to learn more about writing with concision.--Obenritter (talk) 17:58, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
