Citing sources
[edit]Hi. I just reverted your recent edit to Jane Siberry. I appreciate that you were trying to add more sources, but IMDB is not acceptable as a source because it is user generated with insufficient fact-checking to ensure reliability. Citing Wikipedia is also unnecessary at best. Wikipedia articles are meant to be collations of information from reliable sources published elsewhere, and citing other Wikipedia articles could allow factual inaccuracies to propagate across the internet. I encourage you to read Wikipedia:Reliable sources and Wikipedia:Citing sources. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thanks, — Callitropsis🌲[talk · contribs] 19:13, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
