USB 3.0[edit]

Hello IP user! You have added a column to the table with USB 3.0 transfer speeds which are supposedly from the standard. If I have the time, I might try to verify that, I have the spec here (it's free after all). But I reverted an edit that was very obviously wrong. In case you want to know what these numbers mean, grab a calculator and follow along! :-)

USB 3.2 Gen 1×1: 5 GT/s (gigatransfers per second), 8b/10b encoding: every 8 bits are encoded as 10 bits and then sent at 5 GT/s. So if you want to know how many bytes in a second that is, it's as follows. It takes 10 transfers to transfer 8 bits of data. There are 5 billion transfers per second, and there are 8 bits in a byte. So you can do something like 5/10*8/8 = 0.5 billion bytes per second = 0.5 GB/s. And USB 3.2 Gen 1×2 is just double that.
USB 3.2 Gen 2×1: 10 GT/s, 128b/132b encoding: every 128 bits are encoded as 132 bits. So it's 5/132*128/8 = 1.21 GB/s. That's 1.2121212121... repeating forever. Let's say 1.2 GB/s to be practical. And USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 is simply double that.
