Die Okeaniden sind in der griechischen Mythologie die Töchter des Okeanos und der Tethys. Sie sind Nymphen, die über die Meere herrschen, mit Ausnahme des Mittelmeeres, das den Nereiden gehört.

Etwas weiter gefasst sind die Okeaniden die Gesamtheit der Söhne und Töchter des Okeanos und der Tethys. Laut Hesiods Theogonie gibt es 3.000 Töchter (Verse 355 ff.: Diese von Tethys zugleich und Okeanos stammenden Töchter / Sind durch Alter erhöht; auch gibts noch viele der andern. / Denn drei Tausende sind leichtfüßiger Okeaninen.)[1]. Die folgenden Verse 360 f.: Eben so viel auch sind dumpfrauschender Ströme noch übrig, / Sie, des Okeanos Söhn', und der ehrfurchtwürdigen Tethys)[1] lassen sich so interpretieren, dass es auch 3.000 Söhne gab. Jedem Gewässer ist ein bestimmter Okeanid zugeordnet.
