Piatra Neamț trolleybus system

[edit]

Please create a user account, and please stop adding statements claiming that the Piatra Neamț trolleybus system has not closed unless you can cite a reliable source. Earlier (over the past several months), you were repeatedly added information claiming that the system had not closed, and now you are adding claims that the operation is only suspended, and that modernization is planned. You even claimed that new vehicles have been purchased. I have checked several online transport forums and made several Google searches, and I can find no evidence supporting any of your claims. (And purchases of new trolleybuses are so uncommon that it would be impossible for one to occur without it being reported and mentioned on numerous professional websites and enthusiast websites, so your claim that new trolleybuses were purchased is very difficult to believe. Trolleybuses bought secondhand, which is something Piatra Neamț has done in the past – but not recently – are not "new".) Instead, I have found articles saying that (non-trolleybus) electric buses are being acquired, and that city officials are selling the overhead wiring for scrap-metal value. That is the opposite of your claim. Under Wikipedia's policy of verifiability, you must cite a source for your claims about the Piatra Neamț trolleybus system. Articles you cite can be in Romanian (if they meet WP:RS), and indeed my internet searches were mostly for Romanian-language information, but I still found no evidence of your claims.

Also, it seems that your edits are trying to promote trolleybuses in Piatra Neamț, which is not appropriate for Wikipedia. In the article Trolleybus, you keep adding Piatra Neamț to the list of examples of small cities with trolleybus systems, but even if you can prove that the Piatra Neamț trolleybus system has not closed, it should not be listed there, because – as I have already explained in edit summaries – that article's topic is very broad (covering the entire world and the entire history of trolleybuses), and thus that list of cities is only a small list of examples and, as explained by the hidden note at the top of the paragraph, it should not include more than that one small and one large city per country, and it already includes Bucharest and Mediaș. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and must not be used for promotional purposes. – SJ Morg (talk) 08:23, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
