Endlessly page

Hello, thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. I reverted your edits to Endlessly (album) because the sources you added didn't actually reflect a change in certification. One source did mention that there had been >300,000 sales of the album, but to deduce from that that the Platinum certificate must have been awarded is what Wikipedia calls "original research", and isn't allowed; moreover, it contradicts what the BPI's own website has to say. (I think you also accidentally changed the listed certification in Sweden…)

After I reverted, I added back the Wales Online source that you added—because, you're right, it's a reliable source—with a note that says that the report doesn't change the certification. (Someone's made an error, but it's not clear whether WO have reported incorrect sales figures or the BPI have forgotten to update their database, so all that can be done is to report the contradiction.)

Also, I know it can be frustrating to see your edits to Wikipedia reverted, but please do try to be civil when communicating with other editors; everyone here is doing their best to improve Wikipedia. YorkshireLad (talk) 11:38, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Endlessly (album). Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Please stop changing Endlessly's page to say it's been platinum certified; it hasn't, as I explained above.
